Hey there! I'm so glad Jay served his mission in Guatemala. Well, can you ask him if he's familiar with the area of Chimaltenango? That's the area where the orphanage is located, and I have a few questions for him. I think it's about 40 minutes from the Guatemala City Airport.

Hey Gus!
Gus wanted to say hi too!!
An Ordinary Update
Dad Jay will be starting up school again in January where he will finish his masters in athletic training. Then by August he plans on going to PA school to recceive a second masters. I think he's just addicted to going to school!! ha ha In the mean time he works all the time. In the mornings he's at the airport and then he comes home to spend time with Kai and take a nap. In the evenings he's off the steakhouse. Poor guy, he works so hard. But he has had some free time to do a softball league on Mondays. Sometimes he's even crazy enough to go play some ball with the guys from work after the softball game! Mom My day is pretty much the same as before. I spend all day with the most adorable little boy in the world. Everyday his smile lights me up and makes life wonderful. I had no idea how great being a mom would be. I try to keep the house clean, Kai clean, Kai fed, and the dog happy too. It's exhausting! Sweet Angel Kai is a year and a half. He is getting so big so fast, it's depressing!! His newest adventure is climbing, he just loves to climb on everything. He's beginning to get the courage to jump off of things too, how fun for me!! Kai and Gus are beginning to interact more and more. They play tag around the kitchen table all the time. It's pretty cute to watch. Kai is still slow to say many words. But I've read that happens when two languages are spoken in the home.

Gus has loved Kai ever since he was born. I think that Gus claimed him as his very own two legged puppy! :-) Kai is the cutest little guy!
Oh my goodness, that is so Adorable! It's amazing how they have that protective instinct for the young even when it isn't theirs.
